{Mixed Media Tutorial} Vibrant floral art journal page by Amy

Good morning crafty friends, Amy here with a quick and fun Art Journal Page for you using Bloom Factory ARTplorations Stencil and Big Bloom Factory STAMPlorations stamp set.

December Challenge - Theme and Sketch

Hey, all! It's a new month so we have a new theme and sketch challenge! Thanks so much to everyone who played in last month's theme and sketch challenge. We'll announce the winner and top picks next Friday, December 9, together with all of last month's challenge and blog hop winners.

Please note that we now just have one post for the previous month's winners and we publish that post on the 9th or 10th of the following month. All winners have 10 days to claim their prize. So you don't miss anything, do follow our blog or subscribe by email :o)

We'd love for you to create and link up your projects based on this month's themesketch, or both -- you've got the whole month of November to play :o)

For December, our theme is STAMPS & COLLAGE. By definition, a collage is "a piece of art made by sticking various different materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric onto a backing." For the purposes of this month's challenge, a collage can be using a combination of different things -- different types of inks, stamp sets, papers, materials, etc. If you end up with a collage card that is also clean and simple, make sure to link it up to the December CAS Card Challenge

And here's our fun sketch to get inspired by as well:

We've got prizes for the winner and top picks as voted by the design team. Also, please take a few minutes to read our challenge guidelines. We love it when you link up your projects but unfortunately we've had to disqualify some entries for the prizes in the past because those entries didn't follow the guidelines we have outlined on this page

Have a look at the STAMPlorations girls' projects inspired by this month's theme and/or sketch!

{Spotlight Project} Cornelia Makes an Advent Calendar

Hi, Cornelia here today. I made an Advent calendar for my daughter and thought I share it with you.

December CAS Card Challenge

Hey there, STAMPlorations friends! Thank you to all who played in last month's CAS Card Challenge and created beautiful CAS cards! We'll announce the winner and top picks on Friday, December 9, together with all of last month's challenge and blog hop winners.

Please note that we now just have one post for the previous month's winners and we publish that post on the 9th or 10th of the following month. All winners have 10 days to claim their prize. So you don't miss anything, do follow our blog or subscribe by email :o)

And now for our challenge. Our CAS Card Challenge is pretty simple: it's straightforward anything CAS goes with the optional color twist. Create a clean and simple card with or without the color we've picked to include. And for December, red & green are the optional colors. (You can use other colors with red and green.)

When linking up, please follow these simple rules: (complete list of rules is here)

  • Link up to 3 entries and link up to as many other challenges as you want.
  • Non-STAMPlorations products are OK (although please don't link up a project you've created for the sole purpose of promoting another company; those projects will be deleted or will not be considered in the running for winner or top pick.)
  • To qualify for our prizes, you must display the challenge graphic in your blog post. (This is not required if you're linking from online galleries like Splitcoast, Flickr, or Pinterest.)
  • Link back to this challenge post (not just our main blog) to encourage others to play too.

Check out the beautiful cards the STAMPlorations girls made to inspire.

So how about you show us your CAS cards with or without the color twist? The linky is open until the end of the month and you can enter up to 3 cards with or without the color twist. You're not required to use STAMPlorations products (although we're always thrilled to see projects made with them). For the full challenge rules, click here. The CAS girls will be back in two weeks to share more CAS cards for this month's challenge.

{Spotlight Project} Maria Spotlights Background Stamping

Back to an old favorite for me today - background stamping. And today I did it all with one single, not-so-large stamp.

Meet today's card.
